There was also the navy & light sand Epic 3000SR which looked similar. You will find your specs on the top of the hood when you release the handle. In 1994, with the introduction of the Renaissance C104A all cleaners were given alphanumeric model designations. There were 2 models in navy & light sand-1719 and U110A. Just wanted to mention that the Epic 3500SR label uprights were sold in different models/colors from 1993-2000. I think that feature was only on the PN2, which is really a shame. Start it out in the "New" position and then when the bristles get some noticeable wear on them, just change it to the "Used" position and you can get even more use out of the brush roll before replacing it. One of the things I really like about the PN2 is its two-position brush roll, similar to Kirby brush rolls. As long as the bristles are straight and stiff, you should be fine. Eventually, the bristles will get splayed out and too soft to do much good, sort of like an old toothbrush. Regarding the brushroll, how long would one last on the Electrolux uprights? How often do people here typically replace them? I can't tell how old the one on my machine is.īrush rolls typically last for several years but exactly how many years you get out of it really depends on how often you use the machine and on what surfaces. Overall, it sounds very healthy and the side exhaust vent really blows out a large volume of air. Also, the cleaner did not seem to want to pick up stray pieces of cat litter.more or less pushed them around on the linoleum, with the brush roll off. Does this seem like an issue with the brush roller? I thought it was due to the old belt, but changing to the new belt did not seem to help. Anyways, when I attempted to clean the wall to wall carpet in my den, the cleaner seems to hop across the carpet. The brushroll itself appeared to be in OK condition, just dirty. I went to the local vac shop and bought some bags and a new belt. I paid the $5 and brought it home and cleaned it all up. There was so much hair and string on the brush roll you could hardly see it! The bag was so overfilled that the dirt backed all the out to the brush roller. I recently came across an Electrolux Epic 3500 SR sweeper in my local thrift store for $5.
