![]() Sometimes separating the valid observations from the BS can be a challenge. but it can also be a curse because anybody can post/write what they want – informed or otherwise. With the internet being what it is these days, problems are usually quick to surface and track, which can be a blessing. I am not one to “beta test” for manufacturers and usually don’t consider buying a newly released pistol of any brand until it has been out on the economy for at least a year. ![]() I was disappointed to hear of this, but I have witnessed this from Glock and other major manufacturers so it came as no surprise to me when valid concerns about the pistol started to surface shortly after release. Let’s just get it over with and acknowledge that the release of the SIG P365 was not problem-free. This is a bit long and it is broken up into two posts, but I thought it might be informative for those on the fence about this pistol. I know that we are all 1911 Addicts here, but in recognition of the fact that while we love the 1911, not all of us carry one daily, I thought I would share my initial experiences with a newly purchased SIG P365 which is, of course, built for carry. While I love my Governments, carrying these concealed has never been on my priority list – I found the size and weight to be a bit of a deterrent when many other very good options exist. I have never owned an Officer’s or Commander series, and only had a very short tryst with a CCO about 25 years ago (and foolishly sold it when something else I had to have caught my eye). If you own multiple P320s, you will need to enter each P320 serial number separately. For whatever reason I have always gravitated to the Government model variant of the 1911 platform. Once SIG SAUER receives your P320 pistol, they will apply the upgrades, test it, and then return it to you free of charge. Thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times. We are working diligently to minimize wait times and ensure that customer calls are answered as promptly as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Due to current global circumstances you may experience delayed response times when calling SIG SAUER Customer Service. ![]()
